About Julie
Julie Lindsey launched her eponymous jewelry collection in 2006 in her home and quickly expanded her business to a showroom on Manhattan's upper east side at 146 East 74th Street. Putting her marketing and design ability to use, she launched a website, a wholesale division, a retail division, and continues to do trunk shows across the country. Born and raised in Connecticut, she graduated NYU with a B.A. in English. Later she studied short story writing and earned a masters degree. Julie parlayed that experience into founding The Story Prize, an industry-recognized national book award for short fiction (www.thestoryprize.org).
As creator and designer of Julie Collection, Julie developed her signature brand of high quality jewelry sold at a reasonable price. Her affinity for color combinations and her use of semi-precious stones is why the collection is referred to as wearable luxury. Her line caught the eye of editors which landed her pieces on the cover of Oprah Magazine and in the editorial pages of Lucky, InStyle, Glamour, Brides Magazine, Real Simple, Ladies Home Journal, Good Housekeeping and other publications.
Every season Julie introduces an offering of new designs, adding to her collection a greater variety of pieces than the season before, pieces that layer and stack and link to each other, maintaining the integrity of her vision. Her jewelry is worn in enclaves such as Hobe Sound, Fishers Island, Palm Beach, Aspen and Watch Hill because, as Julie herself will tell you, great taste never really goes out of style.
